The SMILE Pro Procedure
You lie comfortably under the ZEISS VISUMAX 800. Anaesthetic drops numb the eye. The femtosecond laser creates a lens-shaped lenticule inside the intact cornea in under 10 seconds, then a small 2.5–4mm incision is made. The lenticule is removed through this incision — no corneal flap is cut. Total time is approximately 90 seconds per eye.
Immediate Aftercare
You rest briefly at the hospital before going home the same day. Protective eye drops are prescribed, and a follow-up visit is scheduled to check healing. Most patients notice improved vision within hours.
