Refraction
One of the first essential tests, refraction measures how light bends as it passes through your eye to determine your exact glasses or contact lens prescription. It helps identify common conditions such as myopia (difficulty seeing distant objects), hyperopia (difficulty seeing nearby objects), astigmatism (blurred vision from an irregularly shaped cornea), and presbyopia (age-related difficulty focusing up close).
Assistant Doctor
Your medical history and any eye-related complaints are recorded, intraocular pressure is checked to screen for glaucoma, and a fundus examination assesses the health of your retina, optic nerve, and blood vessels.
Consultation
The consultant reviews your fundus and examination results, discusses any conditions found, and prescribes treatment — or recommends further diagnostic tests where needed.
Diagnostic
If the consultant ophthalmologist recommends further tests, the next step is carrying out the prescribed diagnostic procedures — which may include Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Visual Field Testing, Eye Scan or Pentacam — for a more precise assessment of your eye health.
Counseling
After reviewing your diagnostic results, the consultant will advise you to meet our counselor, who explains your condition and treatment options in full detail using visual aids, then helps you plan the date and timing of your procedure so you have everything you need for a smooth, well-prepared experience.
Procedure
The final step is the procedure itself, carried out in our Operating Theatre by a skilled surgical team who ensure your safety and comfort with the highest level of care and precision throughout.
